On Wednesday (8/1/2025) a workshop by (Assist. Prof. Kamran Ahmed Hama) entitled (Economic Development and Critical Philosophy) in the College of Administration and Economics at (12:30) pm in the Department of Economics Held in the seminar hall. The main topics of the workshop were:
Topic One: Economic Development.
Topic Two: Philosophy of Criticism.
Topic Three: Dialectical Relationship Between Economic Development and Critical Philosophy
The first topic discussed in detail economic development and the concepts related to economic development (change and change, economic growth and economic development, economic progress).
Then, economic development was scientifically analyzed and the dimensions of development were analyzed and the difference between economic development and the concepts mentioned above is that when each economy reaches its own stage of economic development, it is difficult for this society to retreat to pre-development. These changes and economic growth, along with developments, are clearly reflected in a fundamental change in Europe in general and Western Europe. Economic developments have brought about radical changes in all relations of production and infrastructure of society, including philosophical, literary, religious and all other intellectual aspects.
Then a brief overview of the changes and developments in the Third World countries of South America, Asia and Africa in different ways, most of which until the middle of the twentieth century was the form of repression and oppression of the Third World countries. This has been the main reason why these changes and developments have been distorted and their consequences have been mostly superficial.
In this context, social changes were discussed as a consequence of economic development, the deterioration of the traditional social structure of the slave systems, and so on
Nobility and the passing of religious advice and decisions are to protect social institutions
Traditions such as the family have submitted to the abolition or weakening of the family institution in the East and West.
The second topic of the workshop discussed the philosophy of criticism. It was pointed out that this thesis of philosophy existed in ancient Greece with Socrates and Plato to some extent with Aristotle, but the thesis itself in philosophy starts with the observation of doubt It began with Socrates, and this doubt It was disbelief in the conditions of slavery in Greece.
Then refers to the doubts of Imam Ghazali as the doubts of the nobility and the rule of the religious state of the Abbasid Caliphate and Ghazali’s doubts were to consolidate the certainties in Islamic thought that in some ways criticized the rule and religious thought.
Then the doubts of René Descartes were discussed as a philosophical thesis of a new world system, the system of commercial capitalism, in which his doubts were to prove the existence of monotheism and away from the ordinary religious concepts dominated by the Catholic Church.
However, it was said that the school of criticism was founded by the eighteenth-century German philosopher (Immanuel Kant). Later, for Marx, this movement did not only converge on criticism, but also took steps to change society, eliminate class differences, class oppression, and end the capitalist system after the establishment of industrial capitalism in the nineteenth century.
Later, this thesis of philosophy came out of the control of Marxist thought and the German Heidegger expressed a new view of this kind of philosophy. The contemporary leaders of this thesis in philosophy today known as the Frankfurt School He is one of the postmodern leaders.
The third theme was reflected as a small outcome of the workshop. That is, all the intellectual changes that the field of philosophical thought in general and the thesis of critical philosophy in particular have undergone are the result of economic developments, and this trend will continue.

On Sunday (15/12/2024) at (12:00) pm in the College of Administration and Economics in the seminar hall by Lecturer (Amanj Anwar Abdullah) and Lecturer (Ayad Osman Hamdin) a workshop entitled ( Student Attendance Management System ) was held.
The content of the workshop included a program on student absences in an academic and scientific manner and changing the old traditional system to Google in an appropriate form. It is helpful for students and teachers and also serves science, colleges and universities.

The second workshop built upon the first and was titled “Drivers of Economic Growth.” During the two-hour session, I discussed the influence of technological change, good governance, property rights and legal systems, free trade, political stability, and freedom of speech on long-term economic growth. In each section, I posed relevant questions to ensure comprehension of the topics. Additionally, I designed the slides so that new lecturers in the field could use them when teaching the course at undergraduate or postgraduate levels. Over 20 department lecturers attended this workshop as well.

workshop entitled “An Introduction to Economic Growth” in this workshop I discussed the reasons behind global inequality, the onset of economic growth, and the resulting disparities. Additionally, there was a productive debate on the roles of human capital, physical capital, and natural resources. Throughout the workshop, I demonstrated methods for teaching this topic to undergraduate students, introduced innovative types of questions, and explored ways to conduct research in the field of economic growth. The audience actively participated in the discussions.

Central Bank of Iraq measures and the dinar exchange rate The main objective of the workshop was to evaluate the measures taken by the Central Bank of Iraq to control the value of the Iraqi dinar and try to reduce the difference between the official exchange rate and the exchange rate in the parallel market. The economic and non-economic factors affecting the Iraqi dinar exchange rate were also discussed At the end of the workshop, a number of conclusions were presented regarding the objectives of the Central Bank of Iraq in determining the exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar.
